Willard asked:
I dont have any serious plans to start breeding anytime soon, but one day I'd like to breed dogs, not just for show quality or moneymaking purposes but for Appearance and temperment.
i've some beautiful akita mixes (with huskies,Wolves, great danes and even rough collies)
personally akitas poesess alot of the traits i seek in a canine companion, but even so crossbreeding dogs has also interested me, much in the same way alot of breeders try to improve their line, someday i'd like to do the same thing,
so all that being said, any suggestions?

ragmama210 asked:
I know the breed is usually very good with children, but this is a rescue animal – I'm not sure how much experience she's had with them. We're going to meet her today to see how she reacts to my daughter before considering it further. But has anyone here who has children ever adopted a grown Akita? (She is a female, so I'm hoping she'll adapt more easily than a male might.) How did it work out for you?
We have had an Akita before and she was a great dog, but this was "before kids"…I'm a little more nervous about it now, as she would be an indoor dog.

Witters, Man That Can! asked:
Please tell me about it. You can also mention any other breed of dog. I am not looking for answers unrelated to this. I don't want a list or commentary on why dogs should not be used for protection. I simply want to hear any stories where your dogs have protected you or the home. Especially from Akita owners but anyone can answer. Thanks in Advance.
