Great breed. Only problem I ever had with mine was the amount that they shed. Every spring and fall I would brush bag's of hair of him. Loyal, reserved, great guard dog's they don't bark much unless something is wrong, and mine was great with children.

Believe it or not, he was one of the smaller males in the litter. However, he does come from truly some of the best of Akita lines and one of the top Akita kennels in the UK.
minimatsuiX that Akita is about the correct size and almost perfect in what I try to breed. I have larger Akitas at 8 weeks that him even, but the one in this video is very sharp, ears up, great color, good build. But the size is average in what I've bread and well within breed standard.
There's no way that akita is only 8 weeks old! My akita is a little bit smaller than that at 10 weeks!
For all the people here who just want an akita cause they're soooooo cute… they will grow up one day.
Grown up akita's are still beautifull dogs but you gotta know how to handle them, an akita isn't a shepherd… keep that in mind.
