How can i get my Akita to listen to me when my boyfriend is around?

I have a 6 month male Akita he listen to me when it just him and me on our walks but if my boyfriend comes along he doesn’t listen to me. He listens more to him. When we first got him he would sleep right next to me and followed me everywhere then all of a sudden he stopped and when I call him he just looks at me. What can I do to have him listen to me? And please don't be mean with your answers.

your bf is top dog in your akitas eyes, and all dogs admire the alpha male so your bf has the lead role of alpha and so when he is around your Akita is like all at attention to him because hes afraid of what the top alpha will do, your top alpha female but in your Akits eyes he feels your about even with him, be firm in your calling so he gets the hint you want your attention, but dont raise your voice or he may think hes in trouble for something. goodluck!
Your dog is viewing your boyfriend as the "alpha" dog of the pack.
Dogs are pack animals and they follow and obey the pack leader or dominant dog of the pack. I am guessing your BF is the dominant one in your relationship and the dog is picking up on this.
Your BF needs to support you in training your dog. In case he is behaving like is is funny or cute when the dog ignores you, it is not. It can cause problems later.
You have to retrain your dog. Put the dog on a long leash then get a treat in your hand make sure you dog sees that you have a treat then call he. Do this while you boyfriend is there too. Try to do this with the dog for at lest 15 minutes. This will tech him that your in charge not just your boyfriend.
train your dog around your boyfriend. Go to for all the training info you will ever need and follow their training instructions.
